3D Printed Anatomical Models Create Ultra-Realism at University of Minnesota

AMUG presenter, Jack Stubbs from the University of Minnesota shared his experience using simulated polypropylene and rubber-like materials to attain ultra-realism in anatomical models used to for medical and surgical training purposes. Medical personnel and emergency response teams are training with custom designed dummy models with 3D printed components, including skeletal spines and esophagus models, which create a higher level of realism than that achieved by cadaver models.
