Automatic sorting machine – Mechatronics student project

This machine was created as a project for the subject Construction & CAD, at the Mechanical Engineering faculty in Skopje, by a team of five students.   It is a machine that is sorting two types of plates. One of the plates have holes. Our project was to develop a machine that will sort out these plates automatically. We have came out with this solution, which actually won the first place out of 25 other machines.

Simulink and Arduino simulation

Using the Simulink’s Arduino IO library so that Simulink communicates with Arduino through serial port. In this example, two analog inputs (potentiometers) and one digital input (push-button) control the Joints motion of the 3D model which was imported from Solidworks.

Mechatronics Final Year Project – Interaction of real arm movements with 3D computer models

This was my Final Year Project at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Skopje. It objective was to construct a device that will allows interaction of real arm movements with 3D computer models. I integrated three different fields in one device, i.e. mechanical, electrical and computer engineering: – Solidworks to design the 3D model that represent the movements of the arm. – Arduino Mega 2560 card for connecting the real world with the computer, potentiometers, accelerometers and some wiring. – MATLAB / Simulink to program the control of the 3D model

Arduino PWM DC Motor Fan Speed Control

This is a demonstration of controlling a DC CPU Fan Motor speed using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). With the potentiometer I am controlling the Duty Cycle of the Pulse Width Modulated signal and that signal goes into the base of the transistor, which actually controls the amount of current that flows in the motor.
