SparkFun THAT InGenius + OutSmarts boards

The SparkFun THAT 1206 InGenius Line Receiver Breakout and the SparkFun THAT 1646 OutSmarts Line Driver Breakout allow you to easily add balanced audio inputs and outputs to your circuits. The THAT InGenius and OutSmarts technologies are designed for high grade analog audio transmission and reception. They offer low distortion and high common mode rejection in real-world audio applications. The breakout boards combine the THAT IC, supporting components, and a ¼” TRS socket – allowing you to implement high quality balance input and output amplifiers with minimal external components. The two boards perform mirror-image signal conversion – the SparkFun 1646…

Product Post – Light Blue Bean

The Light Blue Bean+ is an Arduino compatible dev-board that you can program wirelessly using BLE! It has a board-to-board range of up to 400 meters and comes with an onboard temperature sensor, accelerometer, LiPo battery and tri-color LED.

Product Post – Geiger Counter

The Pocket Geiger is a pocket-sized radiation detector for both Gamma and Beta radiation. It’s so uncommonly small because instead of using the Geiger-Muller tube that most people associate with radiation detectors, the Pocket Geiger uses a solid state device for detecting ionizing radiation.

Product Showcase – Particle Electron

When we launched the Particle Photon, we were super excited to see what people were going to do with Particle’s tiny IoT platform and we were not disappointed. The Photon made it easy to develop WiFi enabled web devices with easy development tools and an IoT optimized cloud platform. But Particle hasn’t rested on their laurels, no, they’ve kept busy. And now they’ve released the Particle Electron, which does the same thing for 3G that the Photon does for WiFi. Now your connected devices can have even greater range and uninterrupted service.   To get you started quickly with the…

Product Showcase – Arduino Industrial 101

The Industrial 101 from Arduino is basically a stripped down version of the Arduino Yun for integrating into your next IoT project. Just like the Yun, the Industrial 101 integrates an ATmega32U4 with an Atheros system-on-chip to deliver WiFi capability as well as the power and flexibility of the LininoOS embedded linux distribution.   For a link to the Getting Started Guide, as well as all of the Open Source documentation, check out SparkFun’s product page for the Arduino Industrial 101. We have everything you need to get up and running fast with this small but capable IoT platform.

Product Showcase: Arduino Tian

The Arduino Tian combines a SAMD21 32-bit microcontroller with a Qualcomm Atheros integrated MIPS processor to deliver the power and flexibility of embedded Linux to the Arduino platform. The Atheros chipset gives Arduino Tian the ability to speak Ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth, making it a great platform for your IoT projects. There are also 4GB of eMMC memory onboard so you don’t have to worry about running out of room for your application.

Product Showcase – Air Quality Sensor

The CCS811 Air Quality Breakout is an digital gas sensor solution that senses a wide range of Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOCs) including equivalent carbon dioxide (eCO2) and metal oxide (MOX) levels. VOCs are often categorized as pollutants and/or sensory irritants and can come from a variety of sources like construction materials (paint, carpet, etc), machines (copiers, processes, etc), and even people (breathing, cigarettes, etc). This breakout is intended for indoor air quality monitoring in personal devices such as watches in phones, but we’ve put it on a breakout board so you can use it as a regular I2C device….

Product Showcase Spectacle

Spectacle is a product ecosystem centered around a simple idea: creative people shouldn’t have to learn new skills to use electronics in their projects. You’ve spent years developing the skills you use, and SparkFun wants to recognize that and help you expand your creations to include electronics without requiring you to spend years learning about electronics and programming.

OpenMV M7 Camera

The OpenMV M7 is a small, low power, microcontroller board which allows you to easily implement applications using machine vision. This programmable board operates with high level Python scripts making it easy to deal with the complex outputs of machine vision algorithms. With this, you can easily trigger pictures and video capture, and control the included I/O pins according to your needs. OpenMV has provided an easy to use IDE, lots of example code, and detailed documentation to get you started.
