Amazing 3D Printed Racing Car Steering Wheels with Tiny Writing!

Gary Miller at IPF, a 3D printing and rapid prototyping service bureau in the UK sends Sam Green at Objet a series of 3D printed steering wheels, printed on the Objet Connex500 multi-material 3D printer. The steering wheels, a combination of Objet VeroWhitePlus rigid material with overmolded TangoBlack rubber-like material, feature tiny 3D printed writing, which remains visible and accurate down to a fraction of a mm.

Make your Own Multi-Tools! On an Objet 3D Printer

The Stratasys Objet Connex500 Multi-Material 3D Printer printing 32 fold-up multi-tools all at the same time on the same tray! The tools are created in Objet’s tough Digital ABS material – known by its krypton ‘green’ coloring. The tools, along with their folding hinges, joints and pins come out of the printer already fully-assembled! Once the support material is washed away they are ready to use and strong enough to stand up to any rapid prototyping and design verification & testing purposes.

David vs.Goliath using a 3D Printed Catapult!

This catapult was ‘printed’ on a Stratasys Objet Connex Multi-Material 3D printer. The material is Stratasys Objet Digital ABS Material – a special composite material able to functionally simulate real ABS engineering plastic. All parts of the catapult were printed together at the same time on the same build tray – including the extendable arm, the spring and the tension screw. The catapult is an excellent benchmark for demonstrating the capabilities of the Digital ABS Material to perform under tension and compression.  

The ‘Making of’ the Objet30 Pro Movie

This video shows how we created the Objet30 Pro movie based on some of the ‘b-roll’ footage taken on the day of shooting of the Objet30 Pro movie.   Here you can see the actual 3D printed models that we created for the film in the 7 different materials. Notice the incredible detail on the miniature furniture – the tiny transparent wine glasses and bottle and the details on the figurines.
