Nose-Controlled Electric Wheelchair

Israeli researchers have developed a device that converts nasal pressure into electrical signals, which could enable paralyzed people to type text and surf the Web. In this video, the researchers, led by Noam Sobel, a professor of neurobiology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, in Rehovot, demonstrate “sniff control” of an electric wheelchair.

Superfast Robotic Camera Mimics Human Eye

Researchers led by Professor Heinz Ulbrich at the Institute of Applied Mechanics at the Technical University of Munich are developing superfast camera-orientation systems that can reproduce the movements of the human eye.

Super Robust Robot Hand

Researchers at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) have built an anthropomorphic robot hand that can endure collisions with hard objects and even strikes from a hammer without breaking into pieces.
