Arduino 101 Explained with SparkFun!

The Arduino 101 (Genuino 101 outside the US) is the newest addition to the Arduino line-up. A collaboration between Intel and Arduino, it features the Intel Curie module, which contains a dual core, 32-bit Quark processor running at 32 MHz. The board is in the traditional Arduino form factor, which means it can accept most Arduino shields. Additionally, it contains an on-board Bluetooth Low Energy radio and a 6-axis accelerometer/gyroscope.

Enginursday Teensy Boom Drum Machine

The Teensy Boom is a drum machine built around the Teensy 3.2 microcontroller. The hardware is fairly simple. The heart of it is a Teensy 3.2 with the Audio adapter. The buttons and LEDs are attached to the processor via the SPI bus, using daisy-chained shift registers. Every otherwise unused ADC channel has a potentiometer on it, for a total of sixteen.   The enclosure is a combination of technologies. The SparkFun Battery Babysitter is an all-in-one single-cell Lithium Polymer (LiPo) battery manager.
