Corona Warrior Robot
While we may have an option of staying at home or minimising social contact, ‘corona warriors’ in the hospitals treating COVID-19 patients don’t have that luxury. Although they might have PPE suits, they still are at high risk of infection from the patients themselves whom they are treating.
To address this problem, our team has come up with an innovative solution – the ‘Corona Warrior Robots’!
The Corona Warrior Robots are based on wireless remote controlled operations and provide a video feed from a colour camera for visual inspection of hospital wards. The compact design of these robots allows easy manoeuvring in the hospital wards. They also have a long battery life of up to two hours and a speed of up to 30 cm/s. The material used for building these robots is of standard aluminium profile acrylic, providing a payload capacity of up to 7.5 kgs.”
“The communication range is about 200 metres for these robots. With a body built with strong and light-weight corrosion-resistant aluminium, it delivers a very high load carrying capacity for distributing essentials to patients.”
