Little Girl Gets 3D Printed Arm from Dolphin with Prosthetic Tail

Annika Emmert shares a special connection with Winter the Dolphin – the star of the “Dolphin Tale” movies. Annika was born with amniotic banding, resulting in a shorter right arm and a hand that did not form properly. When Dolphin Tale came out, Annika felt an immediate connection with Winter who swims with a prosthetic tail.

Shortly after, Annika got the opportunity to meet the team from Orlando-based Limbitless and get a 3D printed bionic arm. Limitless uses Stratasys 3D Printers to produce their customized limbs, taking advantage of the durable 3D printing materials and the ability to produce practically any geometric shape.
