Understanding Circular Motion

This video presents a beginner’s guide to circular motion, introducing the concept of centripetal force. It also briefly discusses the erroneous term centrifugal force. It also explains the motion with some common examples.

Clarification: in the video I mention that ‘there is no centrifugal force”
What I mean is, there is no centrifugal force acting on the object spinning, like some outward force acting on the object. This is fictitious.

I the specific case of a car going around the bend, the centripetal force is provided by the road surface on the car, going inward

One could argue the centrifugal force is the force on the road by the car, which is the reaction force based on 3rd law.
